Frequently asked questions

Which format is best for WordPress?

WebP. The file is usually 25-35% smaller than a comparable JPG at the same quality, and WordPress 5.8+ supports it out of the box. For older themes or where a fallback is wanted, JPG (q=85) is a safe choice. Our resizer can do both.

What is HEIC, and why can't I open them anywhere?

HEIC is Apple's default photo format since iOS 11, more efficient than JPG, but poorly supported outside Apple devices. Windows, older WordPress versions, or most online tools refuse them. Our converter turns HEIC into JPG in your browser, no upload.

Background removal sometimes only half-works, why?

The model is strong on people, products and pets, it's stable there. Architecture against sky, glass, or thin objects like hair and branches against a busy backdrop are harder. The model 'guesses' and you get semi-transparent edges. A photo with more colour contrast between subject and background often works much better.
